Solar Power and Battery Installation in Darling Downs
Home »
We recently completed a substantial solar power and battery system installation in Darling Downs, designed to maximise energy efficiency and reduce electricity costs for our valued customer.
Project Overview
- Location: Darling Downs, WA
- System Installed:
- 30kW of 440 W Longi LR5 All Black solar panels
- 20kW of Sungrow’s new SPH series high-voltage modular battery
- 15kW Sungrow hybrid battery (SH15T)
Customer Background
Our customer faced significant electricity bills, exceeding $700 monthly, and in summer, their expenses soared above $1,000. This highlighted the urgent need for a more sustainable and cost-effective energy solution.

Why Choose This System?
- Massive Energy Production: With the installation of 30 kW of high-efficiency Longi solar panels, the system produces an incredible amount solar energy, significantly offsetting the household’s electricity usage.
- Oversized Panels: The benefit to oversizing the panels to this extent allows the system to operate at full capacity even at times when poor weather or cloud cover would greatly reduce a standard size systems PV generation.
- Advanced Storage Capabilities: The combination of the 20kW modular battery and the 15kW hybrid battery allows for efficient energy storage, ensuring that excess energy generated during the day can be used at night or during periods of high demand.
- Comprehensive Power Supply: The new system can seamlessly power the household’s reverse cycle ducted air conditioning, two heat pump hot water systems, and even their swimming pool and electric vehicle, providing a complete energy solution for their lifestyle.
- Full House BackUp: The new Sungrow 15kW hybrid inverter can support full house backup, so day or night, rain or shine, the house will continue to operate in the event of a blackout.
Results
Thanks to this state-of-the-art installation, our customer is now experiencing over a 90% reduction in their power bills. This dramatic decrease not only alleviates financial stress but also supports a greener lifestyle by maximising renewable energy use.

As shown in this data the customer has used nearly 62kw of energy for this particular day. Of which only 1.1kw was paid for from the grid. If this was to continue on a daily basis, the total bill would have come back at approximately $1400 without solar, but only around $80 with the supply charge included with this solar power installed.
Conclusion
This impressive solar power and battery system in Darling Downs exemplifies how modern technology can transform energy consumption and significantly reduce costs. If you’re looking to upgrade your energy system and achieve similar savings, contact us today to explore how we can help you.
